This Ubuntu edition is distributed as hybrid Live DVD ISO images for multiple hardware platforms, including 64-bit, 32-bit and 64-bit Mac, and multiple languages that can be selected by the user during the initial boot. Being hybrid ISO images means that they can be deployed to either USB flash drives or DVD discs.From the boot prompt, users can try Ubuntu without installing anything on their computers, run a memory diagnostic test, start an existing operating system that is installed on the first disk drive, check the boot medium for defects (only if using a DVD media), and directly install the distribution without testing it (not recommended).
